About the Class

This class introduces students to the world of digital illustration using Clip Studio Paint and Wacom tablets. Students will build foundational skills – including using layers, digital drawing tools, shading, and color theory – while learning how to bring ideas to life on screen. Projects are designed to be fun, skill-building, and confidence-boosting.

Over the course of the program, students will develop digital literacy skills and illustrative style. The final month of each semester (December & May) is dedicated to preparing a project for our youth gallery exhibition.

Materials & Tech

All materials and technology including ThinkPad laptops, Wacom tablets, and Clip Studio Paint software are provided in-studio.
Students that register for the full semester receive a personal portfolio PDF of their digital work. Portfolios are emailed to families at the end of the semester with all completed projects!

Registration Information

Get the best value by registering for the full semester! Tuition includes all classes for the Fall or Spring semester. Your child will also receive a personal artwork portfolio and automatically participate in our youth gallery exhibition.
Prefer flexibility? Select monthly registration. This is a great option if you can only commit to certain months.
Please note: Class count may vary per month (typically 3, 4, or 5 classes) depending on holidays or how the calendar falls.
Starting part-way through the semester or month? Our tuition is prorated – start anytime and only pay for the remaining classes.
First-time students are eligible for one free trial class! Free trials and drop-in sessions can be booked through monthly registration – just select the month you'd like to attend and complete your booking on Sawyer.
Please note: Free trials and drop-ins are not offered on the final month of each semester (December & May).
