Arts Education

We offer high-quality visual and performing arts education through school partnerships across the region, youth classes at Stay Studio, and mentorship opportunities for young artists. Grounded in social-emotional learning, cultural relevance, and process-based artmaking, our programs build confidence, support mental and emotional wellbeing, and nurture a lifelong relationship with the arts.

Introduces students to a range of mediums and techniques, led by professional teaching artists
In-School Artist Residency

Classroom residencies that bring teaching artists into schools for creative learning experiences
Guided Paint Experiences

A one-day workshop for students and families to create artwork together in a guided paint session
Mural Task Force

Students collaborate with teaching artists and professional muralists to create a real mural

Our Partners

Every year, Stay Arts provides arts education programs to over 25 schools and thousands of students across the region. We collaborate with local school districts and individual schools to deliver high-quality, culturally responsive arts education that meets the unique needs of each campus.

Art Projects

We work with organizations on commissioned murals, art installations, and custom creative projects that enrich and transform public spaces. As a bridge between artists and large-scale opportunities, we prioritize representation and fair compensation that ensures artists are valued and reflected in the cultural landscape.

In partnership with the City of Downey, Stay Arts and Rafael Reyes produce this 40’ x 40’ mural at the city’s public parking lot.
Steve Martinez – Resilience in Bloom

In partnership with Kaiser Permanente Downey, Stay Arts and Steve Martinez produce a 93’ x 12’ mural in their new communal patio.

Sergio Robleto – Resilient Procession

In partnership with Kaiser Permanente Downey, Stay Arts and Sergio Robleto partner to produce this hallway mural in the Orchard Medical Office Building.
Hispanic Heritage Month Exhibition

An exhibition highlighting 22 local hispanic/latino artists, commissioned by the City of Downey in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month at Downey City Hall.
Matthew Ward – The Bull

In partnership with Gaucho Grill Argentine Steakhouse, Stay Arts and Matthew Ward collaborated to produce this iconic mural in the dining room of their Downey location.

Community Arts

Stay Arts produces and supports community art experiences that showcase local talent and foster connection at Stay Studio and across Southeast Los Angeles. From local artist exhibitions to poetry nights and art markets, Stay Arts provides platforms for creative expression and collaboration among artists, students, and families.
