FAQ

How will I get my supplies?

Paint supplies & materials will be available for pick up at Stay Gallery on Thursday, October 15, 2020 @ 9a, 12p or 6p.

Can I submit multiple works?

At this time, we kindly ask that you submit one piece of your choice. This will allow us to include more artists in the exhibition.

How do I submit a video?

To submit a video, please complete the submission form. One of the questions will lead you to a Dropbox link, where you can upload your video. Please submit a high resolution video. 3 minutes maximum, MPEG-4.

After uploading your video to Dropbox, you will need to return to the submission form and complete the remaining questions. If you do not do this, your submission will not be received.

How do I submit a sculpture?

Sculptures will be viewed as a “billboard” – a 2D representation that always faces the viewer. Please take a high resolution, evenly lit image of your sculpture against a white wall or plain background. The full form of your sculpture must be visible in the photo (edges should not blur or fade into the background).

What is your artwork sale policy?

Artwork and print sales are based on a 70/30 split (70% to the artist / 30% to Stay Gallery).

How will the virtual exhibit work?

La Oferta will be displayed through a 3D gallery on our website. Viewers will have the opportunity to navigate through the gallery – similar to an augmented reality video game – by using the controls on their computer or phone. To see an example of how it will work, check out one of our past virtual exhibitions:

How can I access the virtual exhibit?

You will be able to access La Oferta by visiting our website on any browsing device – smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop. A direct link to access the exhibition will be available through our newsletter and Instagram updates. *Note – If you submit to this exhibition, your email will automatically be added to our newsletter.

When can I access the virtual exhibit?

You will be able to access the exhibition on November 1, 2020 as part of the Downey Theater’s Dia de los Muertos Festival 2020.

What is the Downey Dia de los Muertos Art Festival?
