Fifteen years ago, Stay Arts (then Downey Art Vibe) held its first-ever exhibition at the Downey Theatre – a photography exhibition by founders Gabriel Enamorado and Valentin Flores that helped spark a creative movement in Southeast LA.
This December, we return to where it all began with AMBIVALENCE, a group exhibition celebrating 15 Years of Stay Arts and the artists who’ve helped shape our journey.
Presented with support from the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the exhibition premieres during the LA Phil Neighborhood Concert at the Downey Theatre, featuring a pre-concert opening reception and all ages art workshop.
Guests attending the concert are invited to arrive early to experience the AMBIVALENCE Group Exhibition, participate in a button-making workshop, and connect with artists and community partners celebrating creativity, culture, and collaboration in Southeast LA.
The concert includes special performances by Lupita Infante and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
