Call for Artists
Stay Arts is partnering with Kaiser Permanente to curate a collection of artwork for the Cudahy Medical Offices, and we're inviting local artists to submit original artwork for consideration.
Our goal is to build a collection that reflects the creativity, culture, and stories of Cudahy and the surrounding Southeast Los Angeles communities. Selected artwork will be professionally reproduced and installed throughout the clinic, creating a permanent collection experienced by patients, families, staff, and visitors.
Artists will receive a $500 licensing honorarium for each artwork selected for reproduction and installation while retaining ownership and copyright of their original work.
Artists may submit up to 5 artworks for consideration.

Mixed media and other two-dimensional artwork suitable for professional reproduction
Artists with connections to Cudahy, Southeast Los Angeles, and surrounding communities are especially encouraged to submit.

Artists may submit up to 5 original artworks for consideration.
Submitted artwork must be created by the submitting artist, who must own the copyright or have authority to license the work.
Artwork should be suitable for professional reproduction as a print and permanent display in a healthcare environment.
Artists may submit existing artwork. New work does not need to be created for this opportunity.
Physical original artwork will not be acquired by Kaiser Permanente or Stay Arts as part of this opportunity.
Initial submission images should clearly represent the artwork but do not need to be final production files.
If a physical artwork is selected, Stay Arts may coordinate professional photography of the original artwork for reproduction.
If photography, illustration, or other digital artwork is selected, the artist will be asked to provide a full-resolution production file.
-
Submission does not guarantee selection.
All eligible submissions will be reviewed by the Stay Arts curatorial team. Artwork will be considered in relation to the overall collection, the clinic environment, available installation spaces, reproduction requirements, and the goals of the project.
Stay Arts may contact select artists during the curatorial process to request additional artwork or information when helpful in developing the collection.
