Call To Artists

We are now accepting submissions for La Ofrenda, a virtual group exhibition in celebration of Dia de los Muertos.

Rooted in indigenous Mesoamerican traditions, Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday that celebrates death as a natural part of the human experience.

This holiday is an opportunity for the living to create an infinite connection with their deceased loved ones. Many families celebrate through personal offerings and joyful gatherings, complete with food, music, dance and art. Dia de los Muertos stands as a reminder of life’s mysterious, yet beautiful, journey through love, unity and acceptance.

La Ofrenda will be featured in partnership with the Downey Theatre’s 7th Annual Downey Dia de los Muertos Art Festival “En la Casa”. This year, due to the pandemic, the festival will take place virtually on November 1, 2020.
