DEI Statement

We believe that the arts and creative exploration belong to everyone.

Our organization works to ensure that our policies, programs and practices foster an equitable, diverse and inclusive culture where every individual that engages with our organization feels acknowledged, valued and supported in their creative expressions and pursuits.


Our commitments

  1. We are committed to celebrating, representing and uplifting our community’s cultural, artistic and historic diversity through our organization’s values and programming.

We are committed to providing opportunity and access to the arts for all people across differences of race, color, religion, sex, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital or domestic partner status, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, physical or mental disability, medical condition, family care status, military status, veteran status or any other basis protected by local, state, or federal laws.

  9. We are committed to deepening our understanding of and amplifying the wisdom and creative expressions of the original caretakers of the land that we live and work on – the Gabrieliño-Tongva/Kizh peoples.

  10. We are committed to refining, adapting and expanding our DEI statement as our organization and community evolves, as well as identifying, analyzing and dismantling areas within our organization that may perpetuate systemic oppression, discrimination or inequity.
